The Resolution for Spider Veins

Sclerotherapy is most commonly used to treat spider veins for cosmetic purposes. This procedure involves a scarifying (or sclerosing) agent that is injected directly into the spider vein, which helps gradually reduce its visibility over the course of a few weeks. This procedure can take up to 30 minutes, depending on how many veins must be treated. You may need several sessions for complete results. In the infrequent case where endovenous ablation cannot be performed, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy can be done, albeit with a lower success rate.
